STEVEN TYLER ENDS ENGAGEMENT TO ERIN BRADY – WAS SOBRIETY AN ISSUE?

News broke today that Steven ended his relationship with fiancé, Erin. I’m not sure why. The report said Steven found it difficult to have a relationship with Erin while staying sober and touring. So…what? Erin made him want to drink? Is that what we're to surmise? The article went on to say Erin’s been kind of a “Yoko Ono” character and didn't fit in with the band. Right. Steven, Joe Perry, and the rest of Aerosmith never had an ounce of dysfunction or any trouble before mean, old divisive Erin came along. Please. Aerosmith has more drama than a family reunion. Even in the last 60 Minutes interview that aired earlier this year, Joe swiped at Steven. It’s one thing to say they broke-up. Portraying her as a band-wrecker is another. Either way, best of luck to them both.  

JENNIFER LOPEZ HAD CASPER SMART SIGN CONFIDENTIALLY AGREEMENT

Her love don’t cost a thing, but there is a price: Your silence. Jennifer had Casper sign a confidentiality agreement. This is standard protocol because all of JLo’s employees must sign the contract. Casper, however, had to agree not to say anything about their relationship either. According to a “close source,” he was fine with it. He's told her – repeatedly – he would’ve signed it even if he didn’t work for her. Supposedly, this made her love him even more. I can’t decide how I feel about this one. Part of me is pleased JLo knows how to take care of herself. She's not leaving herself vulnerable to unexpected P.R. nightmares because a scorned boyfriend decides to write a tell-all. The other part thinks it must be sad to deep down not trust anyone. Then again, maybe it’s her management who wants her to have these agreements in place. Who knows?

IS DEMI MOORE HOPING TO LAND LEONARDO DICAPRIO?

Not sure whether this is true. Given Demi’s penchant for liking younger men, I couldn’t ignore it entirely. Rumor has it Demi’s interested in rekindling her "you-would-have-blinked-and-missed-it" one night affair with Leo. Many, many years ago, Leo spent the night with Demi. But, nothing happened after that. Hoping to make up for lost time, sources say Demi's spent quite a bit of time in New York where Leo’s filming a new movie. Not only does it sound as if she’s pursuing him clear on the other side of the continent, she’s also asking him for coffee. The bad news is that he won’t even meet up with her for that! We all know that Leo has a girlfriend, Erin Heatherton. If this story is true, though, it doesn’t sound like he really wants Demi in his life as a friend. Hmmm…let it go Demi.

ASHLEY BENSON SPOTTED AT BREAKFAST WITH RYAN GOOD

I wasn't sure what to make of James Franco's blog post where he denied dating Ashley. You want to take statements such as these at face value. Yet, when there are photos suggesting that Ashley and James may have been more than just friends, it's hard to believe him. Which is why I think that maybe James' post didn't go over so well with Ashley. The reason I say this is because she was spotted at breakfast with her ex, Ryan -- the same ex she left for James. Normally, two people having breakfast is not that exciting. Considering the circumstances, though, I wonder if she went back to Ryan because James didn't want to date her.

TODAY'S FAVORITE: MIRANDA LAMBERT AND BLAKE SHELTON ACCEPTANCE SPEECH

With all of the break-ups happening, it's very sweet to see a married couple publicly show each other so much love -- which is why this made today's favorite. At the Country Music Awards, Miranda and Blake won Song of the Year, "Over You." Their acceptance speech was moving because during it, Blake turned to Miranda and said, "I just needed the right person to write this song with and the right person to sing it. I love you so much, baby," and kissed her forehead. Awww - congrats to Miranda and Blake!
