SCARLETT JOHANSSON AND NATE NAYLOR SPLIT : WAS THE SPARK GONE?

Given she was seen cozying up to her bodyguard in Italy and holding hands in a very friendly manner with Jared Leto at the Democratic National Convention, many aren’t surprised to hear that Scarlett and her boyfriend of one year, Nate, have split. Last we saw of the two, they were strolling around Paris smoking cigarettes. However, it doesn’t seem their trip to one of the most romantic cities in the world helped their fledgling romance. The article did not mention what went wrong, but did say that they were hot and heavy from the start. Maybe it moved too fast and fizzled out. From what I remember, Scarlett traveled at lightning speed with Sean Penn, too, when they dated. If she wants something serious, it’d work in her favor to slow her relationships down.

KANYE WEST GOES AFTER PHOTOGRAPHER CAMERA: WAS HE PROVOKED?

While out at dinner in South Beach , Miami yesterday, Kanye and Kim ran into her ex Reggie Bush. Soon thereafter, a camera woman asked Kanye whether he congratulated Reggie about his baby announcement. Well, Kanye didn’t like this so much and grabbed for the woman’s camera. She then told the other photographers that Kanye tried to beat her up. Some say Kim knew where Reggie was having dinner. Even if she did, I couldn’t help but be reminded of Justin Bieber saying that paparazzi will say things to get a rise out of stars. Undoubtedly, this is what the camera woman wanted. I’m not condoning violence, but it’s obvious she provoked him because she wanted a reaction. I also don’t think it’s too cool of her to say Kanye tried beating her up. He’s a big guy. If he wanted to beat someone up, I’m pretty sure he could have with ease.

IS IT TRUE KATIE HOLMES SWEARS OFF ACTORS FOR ARTISTS?

I can’t imagine who Katie would’ve told this to such that it would have gotten out to the tabloids, but wanted to mention it anyway. According to a report that surfaced earlier today, Katie is no longer interested in dating actors. Supposedly, she’s been hitting the New York art gallery scene and meeting a lot of artists. I think it’d be great for Katie to expand her horizons. If and when she starts dating again, it wouldn’t hurt her to cast a wide net. New York is a big city and I’m sure plenty of eligible men would clamor for a date with her!

KATY PERRY DRESSES UP FOR DATE WITH JOHN MAYER...WHO LOOKS RUMPLED

Too funny. Just last week I read an article that Katy and John split again, but I held off on writing anything because I wanted to give it a few days. Lo and behold, they were spotted on a date in New York City – click here for photos. Katy looked ok. I didn't like the long drapey dress she wore. Still, you could tell she tried. This is contrary to John who, even the person who wrote the article noted, looked a bit rumply and like he wasn't exactly dressed to impress for his date. This is one of the little things that happens when a woman pursues a man. He won't even bother to look nice for dates because he knows that he doesn't have to work to have you.

"BACHELORETTE" ASHLEY HEBERT AND J.P. ROSENBAUM SET WEDDING DATE

We all know there's a jinx on almost every Bachelor and Bachelorette couple. But, one couple that may break the curse is Ashley and J.P.. Ashley announced on Twitter that they have set a wedding date. Further, they will get hitched on TV so long as they have control over their wedding. Even though I can't stand either show, this made my favorite of the day because I hope this couple works out and actually marries.
