Why Katy Perry's Setting Herself Up to Let John Mayer Treat Her Badly -- They're Not Done Yet!

Where we last ended it with Katy Perry and John Mayer is that he broke up with her because he wasn't feeling it. According to the reports, he did so over email and left Katy feeling hurt and angry. So, you think this would be finished, right? Well, it doesn't look that way.

Yesterday, news surfaced that the two were at the FYF concert in Los Angeles on Saturday, September 1st. I looked at the photo of them and wondered, "How did that happen? Who contacted who first?" The report said that it was Katy. She started calling and drunk texting John late at night and asked him to take her back. The source went on to say that she told him she's been really depressed and needs attention.

In the celeb world, it can be difficult to separate fact from fiction given all we know is from tabloids. As such, I draw my conclusions based on what I've already seen about the couple. When it comes to Katy, she didn't play hard-to-get with Russell Brand or John Mayer. Russell left and John wasn't feeling it because she did too much, too soon. Based on all of this, it's highly likely she initiated contact with John once all was said and done.

John agreed to see her and they hung out. He doesn't have any reason not to because he already told her that he isn't interested. Katy knows not to have any expectations because John doesn't see her as his future girlfriend or wife. Even though she's aware of this logically, it doesn't mean she won't be hurt emotionally. Because Katy's lonely, she accepts crumbs instead of moving on to another man who has to have her.

If she's weak, she'll continue sleeping with John. It becomes a no strings attached relationship which means John gets it for free. We can all get mad at John. In this scenario, though, he's no different than many other red-blooded men out there who would likely do the same thing. This is why it's up to Katy to take care of herself.

Katy's setting herself up to let John treat her very badly. Women, must, must, must, recognize that once a man says he's done, it's done. Even if he's willing to go to a concert with you, sleep with you, be your date to a wedding, or your plus one  -- if he's said he's not feeling it, you will not end up in a good long-term relationship with him or be his wife. In my seven years as a dating coach, not once have I ever seen it be otherwise.

Even if I'm wrong on this one and she's "just friends" with John, she should still be too busy to have time for Saturday night concerts with him. Personally, I wouldn't befriend a man who didn't want me. I know a lot of women feel differently about this one, but I'd have no interest in it.

Katy, c'mon. You're so adorbs and sweet. Ya gotta snap out of this. What's going on with Robert Ackroyd? By the way, love, love, love the black and whites for the GHD Campaign.

Tell me what you think! Will John treat her well now that he's already broken up with her?

Until next time...
