The person who put the video together used Google Maps with Street View. You can tell because at 00:54 in the video, you can see the white writing that is typically found when using Street View. Try it if you haven't, it's pretty neat! You can even find your location. With that said, it is not real time. You could be looking at Street View at night, but your images will be shown in the daylight.
Because the video made me wonder about the height of the fence, I headed to the exact location myself. One of the perks of living in Los Angeles is that you can visit the spot where one of Hollywood's biggest romance scandals happened. For some of us Angelenos, it's a historical site.
Where they were photoed is definitely off the beaten path. While driving up there, I thought, "This is a lot of effort just to make out." It is up a fairly steep hill along with a lot of tight turns.
What I found is that the fence is about 48" high. I am 5'-6" and the fence came up to the center to top of my rib cage. In other words, the scale found in the Us Weekly photos is correct. I concluded that the photos initially taken of Kristen and Rupert were not adjusted based on the size of the fence. Additionally, I measured from the ground to the top of the fence and included a photo as well as others I took.

Another point of interest is that while definitely an obscure location, the little road they were on is very narrow and also a two-way. Kristen parked her car off the road on the dirt, in the same spot I did. There is no other place to park. The reason I mention this is because in order to pass, you would definitely have to slow down which would give any passerby ample opportunity to put a name to a face and see it was Kristen.
I can't account for other changes found in the video, such as Kristen's nail polish, the insignia on the back of Rupert's shoe, and size, etc. What I noticed that was interesting is if you look at the Us Weekly photos, in #5 and #6, she is not seen with Rob's hat while exiting her car or walking across the road. All of the sudden, the hat appears in #9 (which is a super awkward looking photo to me) and other subsequent photos. What we don't see is Kristen going back to the car to pick up Rob's hat. I'd think the tabloid would've caught that had she done so.
All in all, I still doubt whether this whole cheating scandal is true and wonder if it's a public relations scam. We'll have to wait and see and I'm sure the Twilight premier will tell us a lot. I wanted to address the conspiracy video, though.
On a quick final note, all of my super-sleuthing made me hungry so my friend and I went to a vegan restaurant for eats.
