Is the Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson Scandal a Conspiracy?

Credit: PRPhotos.com
While cruising the internet trying to stay current on the Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson saga, I'm seeing more and more comments from people who think it's all a publicity stunt. The more arguments I read for it today, the more it makes sense. I don't think I'd be as inclined to believe a "conspiracy theory" if I hadn't followed their relationship in the first place.

The gist of the claim it might all be a hoax stems from how secretive Kristen and Rob have always been. Remember when Kristen said she felt that the press was raping her? Well, she knew she was always being watched. I'm surprised she'd let herself be caught up in all of these photos so easily. Unless, of course, she wanted the press to take the photos.

Then, like this article pointed out, she released a statement to the press. Kristen never talks to the press about her relationship with Rob! And when she did, it was a mea culpa followed with two "I love him"s.

For a couple who are notoriously private and denied being together, we now know they lived together and had a dog. We also know about every major development from Rob's anger to Kristen's tears. They've both moved out, but now are supposedly talking.

Still, Rob doesn't know whether he'll forgive Kristen. The uncertainty conveniently keeps us on edge about whether they'll reunite. And, how perfect that they'd make Kristen the villain given Rob's always been known for being more into the relationship than she is.

So, if it's a publicity stunt, the next question would be why?

Well, Hunger Games beat Twilight and almost eclipsed the craze this franchise normally has. And let's not forget that Fifty Shades of Grey has everyone buzzing about who will and won't be cast. Even Victoria Bekham gave it to her mother to read. What I'm saying is people have their attention on lots of other entertainment right now.

Stirring the pot before the next movie's release will make us all anxiously pay attention to "how will Kristen and Rob act on the red carpet?" I never even knew about Rob's upcoming movie. Now, everyone's wondering if he'll keep his work commitments. He now has even more press for this movie.

The whole point is to have them happily reunite before the movie premiers in November. Alas, true love prevails. If Rob goes back to her, I'm going to think this has to do with the movie more so than he forgave her. After all, would he go back on his words about how he doesn't get cheating and let his fan base down for being such a pushover?

I'm sure I'll be made fun of for buying into anything involving a "Twilight Conspiracy." I just can't shake that we knew nothing about them to now knowing their every more. So, my final conclusion is we, the public, are being played. But, I'm putting it out there because I want to know if anyone else thinks it might be true.

Tell me what you think! Do you believe this is a conspiracy?

Until next time...
