I
haven’t devoted an entire blog post to Kim Kardashian and Kanye West in
almost a month because there isn’t anything new to say. She spends too much
time with him and doesn’t play hard-to-get. However, I think the fact
she knew Kanye always wanted her and she married another man in spite of
his feelings is saving her. A woman who is always with a man who she
just started dating would risk him losing interest. Because Kim didn’t
come around so easily, Kanye’s thrilled to have her.
Kim’s
making the headlines even more so recently because of the updates we’re
receiving on her divorce proceedings with Kris Humphries. In my August
13, 2012 Celeb Romance Roundup, I told Kim to give in to Kris, admit the
marriage is a sham, and move on with it so she can marry Kanye. Another
reason I think this is a good idea is so that it won’t cause problems
between them. Anytime a man has to deal with problems concerning a
woman’s ex, I become nervous.

But,
how concerned are Kim and Kanye about poking the angry bear that is
Kris? Apparently, not much. I’m referring to is the
video that came out yesterday, I Wish You Would/Cold featuring DJ
Khaled, Rick Ross, and Kanye.
During
the part where Kanye raps about Kim and how Kris is lucky Kanye
didn’t have J cut him from the team, she appears next to him with a
hoodie on. I couldn’t watch the entire video because two minutes into
it, the whole “earth shaking” thing annoyed me and had to shut it off.
But, I’ve seen all of the pictures and it looks like Kim’s smirking.
What I want to know is how does appearing with Kanye in a video during a
part about Kris help Kim finalize the divorce she wants? The answer is
it doesn’t! All it does is antagonize him. And the same goes with Kanye.
If he really wanted her to quickly end the divorce, he wouldn’t have
her in his video showing off what a tough guy he is with her on his arm.
Kris
is already going after Kanye and tried to subpoena him last month. He’s
come into lots of money which is adding to his stamina to keep on
fighting. Little “in your face moves” are not going to make it better.

Kim
and Kanye acting out isn’t anything new. Some of you might wonder why
I’m bringing this up at all. What I’m trying to convey in this post is
to recognize when you don’t have power in a situation and not
fight fire with fire. It gets you nowhere other than a longer power
battle with a person who has the energy to take you down.
Say
you left some belongings at an ex-boyfriend’s house who’s giving you a
hard time about letting you pick it up. You don’t camp out in front
of his place making out with your new boyfriend for him to see. You
kidnap his adorable dog you liked more than him anyway and hold it for
ransom until he breaks. (I’m going to get into so much trouble for this
one. I can just hear it, “Vanessa Taylor carelessly advocates animal kidnapping!”).
Don’t poke the bear if you don’t have power. When you do,
then and only then is it game on.
Kim
must recognize she has no power here. None. Zero. Kris won’t go away
and antagonizing him will just drag this all out. I’m not saying Kim and
Kanye should turn tail and run scared. But, making Kris mad simply for
the sake of making him mad is foolish on both their parts.
My
advice to Kim is to knock off the nonsense. None of this is getting her
closer to the ultimate goal of getting married and having babies. She
should say she’s sorry and move on. Who cares if Kris is right? Nothing
matters in the end other than her want to start a family.
Sheesh.
Showing up looking hard next to Kanye in a video with a hoodie on.
Yeah, strong pimp hand there, Kim…and Kanye. Netted you both a whole lot
of nothing.
