Andrew Garfield Speeding with Emma Stone in the Car -- Why a Woman Must Tell a Man to Slow Down!

An article came out that Spider-Man actor Andrew Garfield was pulled over for speeding in Malibu on Friday. Normally, this wouldn't have caught my attention. But, his girlfriend, precious Emma Stone, was in the car with him. We don't know how fast he was going or why. All the report said is that he was cited and let go.

For all we know, Andrew may have only been going ten over the speed limit. On that note, this might seem like a pretty irrelevant story for the purposes of dating. Yet, it made me think of something I have yet to discuss which is a man driving safely when he has a woman in the car with him. This is important because plenty of men like to zip around erratically hoping to impress a woman. This isn't a good idea. 

I've been in this situation and have no qualms about telling a man that he's scaring me. Because he's worked so hard at landing a date with me and waited to see me, he always -- without fail -- takes his foot off the accelerator and apologizes. He might even become a bit embarrassed which is fine.

Even if I'm not all that nervous but think he has the potential to get carried away I ask him to stop. This is primarily because I don't want him to think it's fine to act like a reckloose around me. You want a man to think of you as precious cargo.

Don't let him persuade you that he's an expert driver who took driving lessons. Even if he's the best driver on the road, he can't always account for what others will do. Additionally, there could be a malfunction with the car that could cause it to lose control or not stop as it should. You are not worth any risk!

The same goes for men who like to have a "middle finger flipping wars" or road rage with other drivers. Those situations can escalate quickly and people are carrying guns in their glove compartments these days. If he ever starts this nonsense with you in the car, tell him to never do it again.

Don't let him make you feel meek or like a fraidy cat because you don't want to live on edge. Take charge of your safety if you must and stand up for yourself. He can go be nuts on his own time.

All in all, if a man wants to impress you, he can do so by making sure that you get home safely.
