Robert Pattinson Leaves Kristen Stewart – Guess She Shouldn’t Have Been So Cocky He’d Stay

The primary topic of my post yesterday about Kristen Stewart’s cheating on Robert Pattinson is that she’s no longer his “It Girl.” Even though Kristen was pretty confident Rob wouldn’t leave, she found out the hard way just how wrong she is. It was reported today that Rob packed his bags and left. He’s not even talking to her.

I read a lot of comments yesterday from people who said, “Kristen’s only sorry she got caught.” My judgment isn’t this harsh, though. I believe she’s sorry she got caught, but I also think she’s sick over the whole mess this has caused.

What’s also unfortunate is her lapse in judgment is going to overshadow her career. She went from being a Hollywood darling with Charlize Theron willing to jump off a building for her and Jodie Foster saying she’s her other daughter to having an angry YouTube video posted asking her how she could do this to Robert. Wow. When they fall, they fall hard.

Still, I bet none of this matters as much as losing Rob does. This is why I want to reiterate a point about The Rules. They can work so well that it will lead a woman to feel cocky about a man’s love for her. Yet, no amount of Rules consults can right the damage. The Rules will help in a lot of situations, but it’s not magic. It's on you to maintain your “It Girl” status with a man.

Equally eyebrow raising is how Rupert's father said this is all, “a lot of fuss about nothing.” Well, that might be true for both Rupert and Kristen. But, it isn’t true for Liberty and Rob. She deleted her Twitter account and Rob packed his bags. His father comments, knowingly or not, downplay how betrayed they feel. Maybe it’d be better if he just didn’t say anything at all.

To Rob’s credit, he hasn’t said a word. It’s admirable that he’s taking the high road and isn’t coming across as impulsive with the media. Distancing himself from Kristen is a good idea at this point, too. Sometimes space – not communication – is the only thing that will help in times like these.

As you can see, you can’t be arrogant about the love a man gives you. Once it’s gone, baby, it’s gone for good.
