The last time I
blogged about Nicole Scherzinger and her boyfriend, Lewis Hamilton, I
mentioned they split in 2009 because he wasn’t ready to start a family.
Once Nicole started Dancing with the Stars in March of
2010, Lewis suddenly materialized in her cheering section. I couldn’t
understand why she revisited the relationship given nothing changed.
Since then, I haven't heard about a break-up. Nor have I heard about Lewis proposing. It’s as if everything was same old, same old. Because she didn’t hold out for what she wanted, she was no longer considered the “It Girl.”
Which is why today’s story about him isn’t shocking. Supposedly, rapper J Cole and Lewis partied with ten girls at his hotel room in London last week. Nicole found out and is so angry and embarrassed that she’s ready to, again, dump Lewis. The situation, of course, is making her revisit the “where is this going” discussion.
I want all single women to read the following sentence very, very, carefully.

DO NOT GO BACK TO A MAN WHO WON’T PROPOSE!
Nicole told Lewis she wanted to start a family. He didn’t. Without anything changing, she caved and went back. Two years later, he still hasn’t proposed and now parties with other women. Knowing this tells me he didn’t have to do much to win her back the first time. If he had, he wouldn’t take it for granted now. Nicole should’ve waited it out the first time because now he thinks she’s a pushover.

However, she’s now humiliated three times. First, when he came back without a ring. Second, when he partied with other women. Third, after partying with other women, she finds out he doesn’t love her enough to marry her. She shouldn’t have reconciled after the first breakup.
Which, again, brings me to my main point – this is why we...
DO NOT GO BACK TO A MAN WHO WON’T PROPOSE!
Nicole could’ve been done with all of this in 2009. She could’ve met someone new, married him, and had the family she wants by now – minus all of the nonsense and embarrassment. Sure, Lewis is a jerk. But, Nicole ignored the writing on the wall. Hopefully she walks this time because I don’t see her getting a ring.
Women always pay when they break The Rules. It’s a matter of time.
