Lauren Conrad Planning Little Vacation with Boyfriend -- How Women Should Handle Trips with Men

When I first wrote about Lauren Conrad and her USC law school boyfriend, William Tell, I said she should keep quiet about her hopes of him being "The One." The good news on this front is that William's ex, Bachelor runner-up Sadie Murray, said he's the type of marry. She makes it sound as if he doesn't waste time!

It's being said Lauren is relieved their relationship is out in the open. The latest report, too, is she's planning to take a little vacation with William soon. There were no other details than this. I don't know what the tabloids think of as a "little vacation."

However, I can define it under The Rules. It does not mean you get to take a week long trip with a man. It's two days, three at the max. Their logic is that if a man wants to spend days upon days with you that he must propose. Saying "no" to long vacations provide an incentive for a man to evaluate how badly he wants to see you everyday.

For Lauren, hopefully she keeps her vacation short. She could come up with a sweet excuse and say, "Gosh, so busy, just can't get away for more than a couple of days." Even if she really doesn't have anything going on, she should act "as if" her schedule is just that busy.

Some of you might wonder, "But, what will William think if Lauren does this?" My response is that it doesn't matter! A man wouldn't hesitate to shorten his vacation with a woman because of his tight work schedule. Thus, women should worry more about whether they're breaking Rules.

Who knows? William might even be a bit relieved Lauren wants to shorten the trip. After all, he is a busy law student who is probably interning while on summer break.

Tell me what you think! Have you ever taken too long of a trip with a man that went badly?

Until next time...
