Is Kim Kardashian Losing Her "It Girl" Status with Kanye West? Why She Shouldn't Have Made Him Get a Cell!

There are times I'll read a tabloid rumor about a celebrity and think "Nah, that's not true." Then there are others where I say, "I can see that happening." Because of Kim Kardashian's past with men, anything involving her being un-Rules with Kanye West makes me assume, "Yeah, that's true."

So, what's the latest? Well, an article surfaced today that said before dating Kim, Kanye didn't have a cell phone because he hated being tied to technology. Whenever Kim called she had to go through his bodyguard to get him on the phone. Now, Kanye has a cell...just for Kim.

It was nice Kanye did this for her, but he shouldn't have had to. Why? Because Kim shouldn't have been calling him in the first place! Little stories like this demonstrate how she's breaking The Rules with Kanye. 

Ellen and Sherrie tell women not to call a man unless you're returning his calls. Even then, you shouldn't return calls unless they're about plans. Strict, yes. But, he'll get to the point and make a date once you're on the phone.

What irks me about this situation she could be playing this one so much better. He was so crazy about her before they started dating. Now, he's telling her that her "style as a fashion icon must continue to evolve."

Little comments like this tell me she's losing her "It Girl" status with him. I'm not saying he's going to leave her, but giving her "tips" on what she should "improve" isn't exactly my favorite story. C'mon Kim, get it together!

The last point concerns Kanye saying he didn't like being tied to technology. Women insist that they respond to texts from men because "everyone has it." Kanye shows people make decisions independently of technology. It isn't because he's a superstar. Plenty A-listers have cells. It's a personal preference which Kanye exercises per his convenience...not everyone else, save Kim.

Most women don't have to get through a bodyguard to reach their man. But, maybe it's a secretary. Don't nag him about having a special "Batphone" just for you. If he wants to talk, let him pick up the phone and call.
