Ryan Phillippe Dating Model Paulina Slagter -- Is She Too Cozy, Too Soon?

Unless there's a big love "to-do" happening in the celebrity world, I cruise around several websites until I find something that catches my eye. Over the weekend, I saw a blurb about how Ryan Phillippe, 37, and model Paulina Slagter, 20, were at Hollywood Bowl enjoying the Coldplay concert last Friday night. I paid no attention to it until more photos of them surfaced leaving Koo Koo Roo on Saturday at lunch time. 

Realizing I didn't know much about them, I did a bit of sleuthing. It seems that Paulina's a bit too cozy, too soon with Ryan. They started dating in December of 2011 and a month later were spotted together watching Ryan's son Deacon at a basketball game. While it's great he wanted to introduce her to his son so quickly (I'm sure his ex-wife, Reese Witherspoon, was thrilled), since then Paulina hasn't seemed so Rules.

On Monday, March 19th, the two were spotted outside Ralph's grocery store with Paulina pushing the cart. Even if they had a date on Saturday night and hung out a bit on Sunday, extending the weekend into Monday is too much. The next time she should've seen him, at the very earliest, should've been Wednesday. Grocery shopping and back-to-back dates tells me that Paulina's settling in too soon.

On Thursday, April 5th, the paparazzi caught up with them doing some light shopping. Based on how they were dressed, both looked like they'd just come from working out together. Again, too much, too soon. Not Rules.

Paulina's young and it's arguable she doesn't need The Rules because she's not ready for marriage. What's important to clarify, though, is that the overarching philosophy of the book is that a woman play hard-to-get so that a man won't take her for granted. Once he does this, inevitably he'll start treating her badly.

At 20, Paulina could end up hurt if she continues being too available. I'm sure she doesn't want to get dumped. As such, it'd be a good idea for her to go back to strict Wednesday and Saturday night dates and see if Ryan pursues her.
