Is It True Kim Kardashian Is Trying to Control Kanye West's Interactions with Other Women?

I'm not sure whether this is true because I've never heard anything about Kim Kardashian, 31, being possessive. Even when dating Reggie Bush, I can't remember articles being posted about her jealousy. As such, it's why I titled the post "Is Kim Kardashian Trying to Control Kanye West's Interactions with Other Women?"

Anyway, today I read that Kim doesn't want Kanye, 34, alone with female visitors backstage while on tour with Jay-Z. Even crazier? Kanye's supposedly agreeing to it because he's afraid of losing her.

While we don't know whether this story is true for Kim, it doesn't mean that it isn't for other women out there. If not a scenario to which you can personally relate, you might have a friend who flips out whenever a man interacts with another woman. It's sad when jealousy rears its ugly head.

Al-Anon teaches people that they cannot make an alcoholic stop drinking. Trying to do so is ineffective and a waste of time. Your ego is in the way if you think you can save someone. It's a dangerous way to live life.

Asking a man to not interact with other women is analogous to what people are taught in Al-Anon because you're working on control issues. Trying to keep something from happening is the ego at its very worst. In the end, people do what they want. A man might think it's cute or sweet at first. But, down the road he'll resent the woman.

As for The Rules, mentioning you don't want a man around other women reeks of insecurity. Ellen and Sherrie tell women to act so busy, busy, busy, that they don't have time to worry about whether he's chatting it up with a leggy blonde. If she's playing hard-to-get, she'll know he's crazy about her. There's no need to control him.

Men are smart. To avoid a fight, some might let a woman think she's won and is getting her way when she isn't. I'm not saying he'll cheat. Make no mistake, though, a man who wants to will do so irrespective of what restraints a woman tries to place upon him.

This brings me to my final point. If trying to control a man doesn't work, then why bother? Not only is it inefficient, but a woman looks badly in the process. If a woman cannot handle the amount of female friends a man has, it's better to evaluate whether to leave. The answer is moving on with life and not trying to control someone else.

Tell me what you think! Has trying to keep a man from other women ever worked?

Until next time...
