"An eyewitness reports they were
spotted at a basketball game at New York City’s
Madison Square Garden. They entered through a private entrance. Although they tried to be discrete, the two were caught kissing! They seemed to enjoy each others company, sitting close
and canoodling.
Both have had very kind words to say about each other. In his interview
with BET.com, Michael said, "Working with Taraji day in and day out, there’s
nothing she can’t handle. Anything I threw at her in a scene she
just knocked it out of the park. She’s so dope,” he gushes. “That’s the
only word that can describe her. I hope we get to do more projects
together, I really do. She’s phenomenal.” Taraji also gushed about working with Michael during a promo run on the ‘Sway In The Morning’ radio show. For the moment, we’ll have to call this one a rumor."
I watched the clip and yes, Taraji had lots of nice things to say about Michael. For the most part, though, I only thought she "gushed" because it was a promo. She called him "fine" and said that while filming he licked chocolate off of her. I know she liked working with Michael, but she definitely let it be known there are boundaries.
Here's why. When Sway pointed out both Taraji and Michael are single, she made it very clear -- in no uncertain terms -- that she doesn't "mix business with pleasure." No matter how cute the man is. Emphasizing how careful she is not to confuse the role that a man plays with who he really is, Taraji, is not heart on her sleeve. Very Rules!
But, then (to paraphrase) she said, "If it's months down the line after filming is done and that chemistry is still there then we can explore it then." Sway, once again, brought it back to Michael. Only then did Taraji concede that she'd consider giving Michael a chance.
This made me flinch because it isn't Rules. She would've been better off playing coy and saying "Oh gosh, I don't know. I'd have to see." In essence, she let Michael know she's interested.
Given Michael is becoming a much sought after man by the ladies, it's to Taraji's benefit that she keep him on his toes about what her real feelings are. I want him to always talk about her like he did during the 'BET' interview. He'll appreciate the challenge.

I don't think it will hurt her, though, because it sounds like Michael is crazy about her. Based on her interview with Sway, she did a great job of playing hard-to-get while filming. This one is still pretty new, so we'll have to wait and see what happens. Either way, it's off to a great start. I think Taraji can have Michael if she wants him.
Until next time...
